Establishing a Western Muslim Identity
Respect for the host culture, law abiding citizenship, service to host country, following the Islamic etiquettes of being a noble guest, being uncritical, appreciating the good that exists in the host culture and seeing it to be consistent with Islam and considering it a part of oneself are the keys for evolving a new local identity in the host culture and for successful integration.
